what you can expect

  • Your first appointment

Once you and your physician decide that Viveda is right for you, a time will be set to draw your blood sample. The amount of blood needed to complete the Viveda analysis is equal to about 15% of the volume of a typical blood donation. At your first appointment you'll be asked to answer some questions about your lifestyle, medical, and family history. This information gives your physician and our team a framework for evaluating your results. The last important piece of business is setting up your MyViveda user account. This allows you to access, view, and print your assessment results online.

  • Your assessment results

Your physician will let you know when your Viveda assessment is ready. You might set an appointment to review the results with your physician or review results online first - your physician will work with you to choose the best strategy. Either way, your physician will guide you through your assessment results.

Your Viveda assessment will contain a lot of information, including an overall summary of your health, your bioprofile, results for each measurement, easy to understand definitions, wellness tips, and additional information resources. Our goal is to provide you with information you can act upon to improve and maintain your health and wellness.

Your results will be available to view and print online for as long as you want. Assessment results will not be provided to any other party without your written consent.

how to prepare

To help make sure your first appointment runs smoothly, there are a few things you can do.

  1. Make a list of all the medications, vitamins, and supplements you are currently taking.
  2. Be prepared to provide your medical and family history.
  3. Get a good night's sleep before your blood is drawn.
  4. Stay relaxed! The most accurate results occur when your body is as close to basal state as possible.
  5. Finally, your physician may ask you to fast 8-12 hours before your blood draw.
