Brian Kleber, CEO
Brian Kleber graduated from Ball State University's award-winning Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management program with degrees in Japanese and Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship. While attending Ball State, he was awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneurship Excellence Award for "Outstanding New Venture Plan." For more than eight years, he was Director of the Small Business Development Center. While leading the SBDC to regional and national recognition, he was also named Director of inVenture, Bloomington's technology park and incubator developed in partnership with Indiana University. During his four year tenure with inVenture the park grew from six to more than 24 technology development companies employing over 200 people.
Dr. Stephen Naylor, CSO & Chairman
Dr. Naylor has over 20 years experience in the health and life sciences, biotechnology pharmaceutical and university sectors. He is the former Chief Technology Officer of Beyond Genomics, a Systems Biology company. He has held various professorial positions, including Professor of Genetics and Genomics at Boston University School of Medicine and faculty member in the Division of Biological Engineering and the Computational Systems Biology Initiative (CSBi) at MIT. He was also the founding Director of the BMSFP Center at Mayo Clinic, and held Professorships in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Molecular Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, Clinical Pharmacology, and Biomedical Engineering at Mayo Clinic. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge (UK) and completed postdoctoral work at MIT.
Dr. Kenneth Ryder, Clinical Lab Director
Dr. Kenneth Ryder has extensive experience in the area of clinical pathology. He is the Director of Laboratories for Clarian Health Partners in Indianapolis, IN, which includes Indiana University, Methodist and Riley Hospitals. When these three institutions merged in the late 1990s, Dr. Ryder was instrumental in establishing the facility's new state-of-the-art clinical lab. He serves on the faculty of the Indiana University School of Medicine and is an accomplished presenter and author in the area of clinical pathology. Currently, he serves as an Indiana representative to the College of American Pathologists. He received his M.D. from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Indiana University.
Autumn Workman, Director of Clinical Lab and Health Promotion
Autumn Workman has more than 25 years experience in clinical laboratory medicine with a focus on
management and regulatory compliance. This experience provides insight into various health care
and laboratory service environments, including clinic, independent reference, and small and large
hospital settings. Additionally, for seven years she served as a managing editor and consultant
for the American Society for Clinical Pathology, a national credentialing and professional
association. She received her BS in Medical Technology and Masters in Public Health from Indiana
University. In addition to her clinical expertise, Workman provides valuable knowledge in the
areas of health promotion and education.
Christa Curtis, Marketing Communications Manager
Christa Curtis has worked in the areas of marketing and sales for the last 15 years. Her core expertise
lies in the areas of brand management, consumer marketing, and communications. She has experience in
both the private and public sectors. While working in the public sector, she was responsible for
managing the development of an annual print magazine including sales, design and production. Her
portfolio includes key messaging, print advertising, marketing collateral, public relations work, web
design and the development of several distinct brands. She holds a BA in Telecommunications from Indiana
University.
